BREAST ASYMMETRY
Breast asymmetry is often congenital. It appears at puberty and clinical forms are numerous.
-
• a-An asymmetric breast ptosis or breast hypertrophy (breasts are too heavy) .
A bilateral mammoplasty will be performed in order to symmetrize the breasts by removing excess skin and glandular.
- b) Hypothrophy or agenesis of a breast.
In this case, a breast is normally developed, and the other is too small. Surgical correction involves implantation of a prosthesis or a breast lipofilling.
- • c-Hypotrophy of the breast on one side and breast ptosis (sagging of the contralateral breast).
The smaller breast will be increased by a breast implant or lipofilling. The sagging will be reshaped by a breast lift.
d) Both breasts are small and asymmetric. This will be treated by a breast augmentation with implants of different sizes or with a breast lipofilling.
