BREAST ASYMMETRY

 

Breast asymmetry is often congenital. It appears at puberty and clinical forms are numerous.

 

  • a-An asymmetric breast ptosis or breast hypertrophy (breasts are too heavy) .


    A bilateral mammoplasty will be performed in order to symmetrize the breasts by removing excess skin and glandular.

  • b) Hypothrophy or agenesis of a breast.


    In this case, a breast is normally developed, and the other is too small. Surgical correction involves implantation of a prosthesis or a breast lipofilling.

  • c-Hypotrophy of the breast on one side and breast ptosis (sagging of the contralateral breast).


    The smaller breast will be increased by a breast implant or lipofilling. The sagging will be reshaped by a breast lift.

d) Both breasts are small and asymmetric. This will be treated by a breast augmentation with implants of different sizes or with a breast lipofilling.
